Remember, you can't take care of others until you can take care of yourself. Consider that selfishness only becomes unhealthy when it appears greedy, arrogant, controlling and totally self-centered. "Healthy selfishness" appears more as personal confidence. It's a way of thinking and acting that holds appreciation and concern for yourself... a willingness to nurture and love yourself unconditionally... and to respect your own feelings, desires, and needs, as well as to trust your knowledge, ability, and experience. It means accepting your weaknesses and imperfections... without apology. And in a practical sense, it also means resting when you're tired or asking for emotional support when you need it.
This entire week offers you opportunities to see how your personal growth can be bolstered by taking a structured and disciplined approach. And this afternoon (after 3:40 pm EST) you'll find yourself better able stabilize recent gains and make concrete plans for the future.
