Consumers are in love with Microsoft Surface Pro

Yesterday, it was revealed that Microsoft was completely sold out of the 128GB model of the Surface Pro tablet. There was some debate on whether or not there was actual demand or Microsoft was trying to play the public relations game by not releasing enough tablets.

Judging by the line at the Microsoft Store this weekend (see picture above), there were definitely some people interested. We asked some of those people in line if we can interview them two days later to talk about their Surface Pro experience and they all love their device.

"I've had this thing by my side for the past three days," says Jesse Fuentes, an engineer in Los Angeles." It is by far the best device I have ever owned. I can do everything I can with this that I could my MacBook Air and iPad," he continues.

Yong Lee, a marketing manager, had to return his device when he discovered the digitizer didn't work. But once he replaced it, he also fell in love. "I am more of an Apple person than Microsoft. But the Surface Pro is a better piece of hardware than Apple has ever made," Lee says. Lee agrees that the battery life is subpar, but it's not a disaster.

"This is a laptop replacement, not a tablet replacement," says high school math teacher Jennifer Parsons. "The battery life is on par with most ultrabooks. Students can send me their work in PDF format and I can grade it right on the Surface Pro and then send it back," she continues.

The first Surface Pro is just the beginning for Microsoft. The company plans to add many Surface devices in the near future.
