Popular critical reviewer Consumers' Reports has rated Five Guys Burgers and Fries as the best tasting hamburgers of the 40 chains tested.
Five Guys out-ranked the larger, well-known chains Burger King and McDonald's for its flavor and juiciness.
Five Guys has a very limited menu, which limits the number of components they must carry. The same hamburger bun is used for all burgers and grilled cheese sandwich. The same patty is also used for all burgers.
Each burger is made to order and no patties are ever cooked before the customer walks in the door.
Patrons are able to customize their burger with any of a dozen toppings. Other than bacon and cheese, there is no charge for toppings.
Once a burger is cooked it is stacked with its toppings in a freshly toasted bun and wrapped in foil. Each burger within an order is numbered to easily match it back to the customer's receipt.
Burger King, with three locations in Rochester Hills, came in 39th of the 40 chains. McDonald's, also with three Rochester Hills restaurants, came in last place. Nevertheless they are number two and number one in national sales, respectively.

In and Out tied for first place. Geez, people, do your homework!
"In and Out" has bo locations in Rochester Hills. If this had been a national story it would have been included in the article.
