YONKERS, NY, AUG. 20 --- The Consumer Reports automotive staff has completed its tests of the all-new 2014 Acura MDX crossover utility vehicle and found that it continues as one of the magazine's top-rated three-row vehicles.
Calling it '' pleasant and well-rounded" with a quiet cabin and supple ride, the testers gave it a "very good" rating and a Consumer Reports recommendation. They found the new 3.5-liter V-6 engine to be refined and responsive, with an overall fuel economy of 20 mpg.
They found the cabin to be spacious and comfortable, and were particularly impressed with access to the third-row seating, which is accomplished be pressing a single button. They found that feature to be "a clever, user-friendly design that should be a benchmark for competitive models."
On the other hand, they were not impressed with the multi-screen dashboard design and thought it to be potentially distracting.
Complete test results for the 2014 Acura MDX are available at www.consumerreports.org and will appear in the October issue of Consumer Reports which will be on newsstands Sept. 5.
