Constant Contact and NutshellMail merge

Constant Contact, an industry leader in helping businesses maximize email and event marketing and also provides survey tools, has acquired two-year-old NutshellMail.

According to the press release, Constant Contact's focus with this acquisition is as follows:

Constant Contact makes email marketing simple; NutshellMail makes social simple, and together we plan to make small business success simple.

While Constant Contact is a fee-for-services operation, NutshellMail will remain free to users. Along with the announced acquisition of NutshellMail, Massachusetts-based Constant Contact also disclosed that it will be opening a Bay Area office.
