Conservatives celebrate Christmas: Cheer powerful babes, jeer pitiful blokes

Now that she's calling her own shots, more people are beginning to like Sarah.

Barely more than a week into December, conservatives continue to find reasons to celebrate, building on a bountiful Thanksgiving of cheery, right-minded news. From powerful, gun-toting babes to pitiful, political blowhards, here's a snippet of righteous news worth celebrating so far in December.

CNN says Sarah's popularity is on the rise among Republicans, Independents and even Democrats, something her fans and right wing pollsters already knew. The fact that a main stream media giant like CNN, too liberal even for Lou Dobbs, reported Palin's uptick means it must be true. According to a new CNN poll out this week, the ex-governor and Vice-Presidential candidate has risen 7 points in her approval rating since joining the ranks of ordinary, private citizens. Eight out of ten Republicans now have a favorable opinion of Palin, and independents are evenly split. According to CNN, 51 percent of men see Palin in a positive light, with nearly that many women agreeing with them.

One could argue that Palin's break from the chains of RNC political handlers and the restrictions imposed by being a government official have allowed Sarah to exemplify her "rogue" persona, making her more popular and happier than ever. At a recent book signing in Reno, NV, more than a thousand people braved record-breaking, colder-than-Wasilla sub-zero temperatures, just to have her autograph their copies of Going Rogue, Palin's best-selling autobiography, which soared to the #1 spot before a single volume was even printed. Clearly Papa Heath was right. "Sarah hasn't quit... she's just reloaded."

Even CNN had to admit begrudgingly that 3 in ten Democrats now view Palin favorably. Will wonders never cease?

Apparently, yes. More Christmas wonders are in store for conservatives, as uber-lib Angelina Jolie reconsiders her earlier support of the Messiah... Obama, not baby Jesus. Entertainment tabloids went berserk this week as the 8-year U.N. Goodwill Ambassador criticized Obama in a Newsweek editorial for delaying support and aid to Sudan.  "How is the Obama administration's approach to Sudan an evolution of justice?" Jolie wrote. "...[W]hen the administration says it intends to work to 'improve the lives of the people of Darfur,' I would like to know what that means, besides the obvious point that their lives could hardly get worse."

In fact, Angelina sounds positively...dare we even hope... conservative: "I am very proud of being American, and all my children have American passports. For me, our family is just what America is - a melting pot, a mixture of many different races and nations. My children should be proud of their Asian and African roots, but that in no way means a lack of respect for the fact that they and their parents are Americans."

Al Gore looks even more foolish for continuing to promote the fraudulent science behind global warming, as the grand debacle known as "Climategate" finally makes front page MSM news.  The MSM took its sweet time to break the story, which lit up the net like a disco ball weeks earlier. Leaked emails proving a scientific cover-up of global proportions were widely reported, but Gore still insists Florida will be under 3 feet of water if the ice caps continue to melt.

Conservative talk show host and ex-San Diego mayor, Roger Hedgecock, told Gore and the nation to drop a few ice cubes in their holiday drinks and watch the drink levels as the ice cubes melt. Hint: our glasses won't runneth over, proving Gore's "Floridians-will-drown" global warming claim is...dare we say it... all wet. (Middle school science lesson: ice always melts in water, and when it does, the new water takes up the same space as the old ice cube did, so the water level doesn't change. Take that, Gore!)

Harry Reid's popularity at home continues to plummet, when he insults Nevada and more than half the nation by calling Obamacare opponents pro-slavery and anti-women's rights. Leave it to the "cracked" Senator to pull the race card against folks who actually support some health care reform, just not Harry's version. Reid doesn't seem to understand IYBS: "It's your bill, stupid." He continues to try to push through a bill that even Harvard's Medical School Dean and Obama's own CMS say won't fix the nation's health care problems. In addition to FOX, Rush, Hannity and Beck saying the bill will cause more harm than good, now the rich, white, liberal elite are providing talking points for the right-minded populus. Oh happy day! Perhaps the joys of conservatives could last 'til Christmas, and beyond?

If the trend continues, the answer is a cheery, "Yes." Stay tuned for more conservative wonders of the holiday season, as we count down the days to Christmas.

Your ice-cube analogy only applies to ice already floating in water. Greenland has an ice-cap more than a mile thick; if it were all to melt, sea levels would rise about 23 feet.

And where did you hear that sh** from...Now Ice can spread to 10 times it'e size when it melts....Yea I got a bridge to sell you ...

Palin is the reason the GOP is going downhill. I hope a better candidate comes along before 2012! we dont need the Paris hilton of politics-a woman who thought Freddie Mac and Fannie mae were 2 people, among other things.
