Conservatives attack Michelle Obama's Oscar appearance (Video)

The conservatives have some harsh words for Michelle Obama’s Oscar appearance. According to a Feb. 26 Yahoo! report, several outspoken Republicans have blamed Obama for trying to steal attention from the award nominees.

Michelle announced the winner for Best Picture via satellite from the White House. Todd Starnes of Fox News accused the First Lady of making the night about herself instead of Hollywood. Jennifer Rubin, a conservative columnist for the Washington post says it made the Obama’s appear “entitled,” “small” and “grasping.”

Rubin also criticized President Barack Obama for frequently appearing at sports events and accused Michelle of using military personnel as “props.” MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch said Mrs. Obama had an elitist tone in her appearance.

And, of course, Bill O’Reily has chimed in, calling Michelle’s appearance “Hollywood left boosterism” and said Laura Bush never would have had the time in her schedule to do such a thing. However, Mrs. Bush did record a message for the 2002 Academy Awards. Ronald Reagan also appeared via telecast on the 1980 Oscars.
