Do a Google search of "Putin" and select "Images" across the top. You notice how his head is getting rounder as he ages? He reminds me now of a face drawn on a cue ball. I'd probably get locked up if I wrote that in Russia.
President George W. Bush has said on several occasions that he will not criticize a sitting president. What happens when Obama leaves office? Will W say, "Wow, was that guy an idiot!"
Someone help me understand why the Legacy Media reports that the unemployment rate dropped but doesn't point out that it's the denominator that is shrinking - fewer people looking for work, literally millions of people giving up - that is causing the percentage to decrease.
How does Obama get away with saying that raising the debt ceiling doesn't cause our debt to increase? It's been raised 100+ times in the past. In every instance, our debt has increased. It's like saying that just by putting gas in my car doesn't mean I'll drive it. But, wait, if you're not going to drive it, why put gas in it? I'd take Obama at his literal word: Fine, you don't need to increase our debt then we won't increase the debt ceiling.
Have you noticed that Dan Quayle was labeled an idiot yet Joe Biden gets a free pass? Uncle Joe has uttered more banalities than the entire Congress combined - and that suggests a lot. Yet there's the Legacy Media twiddling their thumbs. Must be hard to lack a core of any kind or nature.
Now we're being fed, again, that playing certain video games causes people to murder other people. I think pointing a loaded gun at someone else and pulling the trigger causes people to murder other people. And in the instance of this most immediate mass murder, I think President Clinton's order that soldiers on bases cannot have loaded weapons results in people murdering more people.
Check the data: When a state relaxes its rules on weapon possession, there is a significant decrease in violent crime. I'm a criminal-defense attorney; my clients are stupid (generally speaking). They are by and large risk avoiders. House A is occupied by liberals that believe guns are the root of many of our country's problems. House B is occupied by conservatives that cling to both their Bibles and their guns. Break into House B, and my client would be greeted with a cigar-chomping armed homeowner that says to the burglar, "The lock on that door wasn't to protect me - it was to protect you." Which house gets an unwelcome visitor? Compare the Burglary and Rape statistics in Great Britain and Canada to the United States. Then compare the gun ownership laws. I'll risk the slight increase in the chance of being shot.
ObamaCare requires people to buy insurance or pay a fine. The cost of insurance exceeds the amount of the fine. Obamacare requires that insurance plans accept someone regardless of pre-existing conditions. OK. I pay the fine and save money. I get ill such that the expense will exceed the cost of insurance, then I buy insurance. This is basic economics.
Britain's socialized medicine has resulted in a dual system: Overcrowded run-down hospitals that are understaffed and give cancer patients long lead times for care or simply deny care because the Quality of Life increase doesn't make financial sense; and pretty hospitals with adequate staff that have rainbows and unicorns prancing about. And we want that kind of system? Really? Talk about the haves and have-nots.
I dislike government involvement in all things except national defense, the most basic of social safety nets, and a narrowly defined justice system. Everything else can be handled by society. Doubt that? Consider pornography. It's not splashed in front of us everywhere in spite of it being a hugely profitable industry thanks to the deviants among us. Porn is free speech; zoning laws must accommodate it. Yet we as a society have relegated it to a dark corner. We handled it. We can handle all things just fine. Government involvement is the root of all evil.
I wish I could continue ... but another time.
