Kagan's restrictive ideas about your free speech: This article goes on to explore writings by Elena Kagan, Obama's Supreme Court nominee, which outline Kagan's justifications of a government right to restrict "free speech" based upon the motive of the government when deciding if the speech should be restricted .
Government motives the deciding factor: If the motive is to protect a politician (Conservative?) from speech that may be harmful to his reelection - that is a no-no. If, however, the government motive to restrict is for the better good of the public - that's a clear winner.
Americans, this is your right to free speech Kagan is threatening.
While Kagan does not offer an exhaustive definition of ‘harm,’ she does offer examples of speech that may be regulated, such as incitement to violence, hate-speech, threatening or “fighting” words.cnsnews.com
Fighting words: Kagan's words, "fighting words" should send chills down the spine of all freedom loving Americans. This is a call to action for all conservatives. Now is the time for you take advantage of your constitutional right to free speech. Speak out while you still have the freedom to speak out.
Speak out while you can: Americans must use the internet as their bandbox and scream until they are hoarse. If you can write a blog; snap a photograph and put it online; write an article;forward an email;make a video;draw a poster; join a Tea Party;talk to a neighbor; make a comment - now is the time.
Fight for free speech: One blog at a time, one photo at a time, one article at a time, one e-mail at a time, one video at a time, one poster at a time, one Tea Party at a time, in one state at a time, one city at a time, one town at a time, one comment at a time, one word at a time leading up to one vote at time, Americans must speak out - until anyone who would support these restrictions is voted out of office - beginning Elections 2010.
Keep in mind what you are fighting against: Restrictions on radio, television, newspapers, speeches, publications, and even the internet.
Keep in mind what your are fighting for: "Congress," says the First Amendment, "shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press."

Down with Kagan!
Did that qualify as fighting words?
This woman is even more crazy than Sotomayor apparently.
Dev, I pray they don't confirm this woman.
Has Obama lost all semblance of reality and common sense?
If he ever had any that is....
Hi Amy,
I think Obama knows and wants this lady for exactly the reasons conservative Americans would vehemently fight to keep her out of this lifetime seat at the highest court in our land.
Like Obama, she's dangerous.

Well, I'm glad Federal Prisons are much nicer than state prisons - I guess breaking Kagan's law would make it a Federal offense? I know thousands that won't be compromised, deterred, diluted, or delayed. No one can make them give up, back up, let up, shut up, or back away - our task is clear - speak up now or shut up forever.
Hi Sharon,
The whole world needs to wake up and fight as hard as your group. The press nor the Senate confirmation committee neither have the guts to ask this lady directly -- Are you a lesbian?
Of course it matters. Given Kagan's stance on free speech, will Christians still be able to say out loud that "Homosexuality is a sin" or will we see the day that we can be jailed for "hate speech".
What Sharon said: "...our task is clear - speak up now or shut up forever."
