Consensus, collaboration and democracy: How Occupy Wall Street works

Over the last several years I have written many articles about the revolutionary changes that were coming. In 2009 I wrote a series of columns about Pluto's movement through Capricorn and described what these changes might look like.

In the last of these articles I wrote about Delibrative or Direct Democracy. Though many readers may not know anything about a democracy that is truly about "We the People" it will be clear after watching the video on the side, that the young adults in the Occupy movement do - below is an excerpt from the 2009 article. .....The people must come together with their much broader and deeper perspectives and collaborate on how to solve the problems and then cooperate in order to accomplish their priorities and agendas. This is the most efficient path to overcoming the disasters that lie directly ahead and is most consistent with the present astrological pattern.

So what does this look like? Obviously, since there is so much of this going on, I cannot put it into one column, or even a series. But my hope is that you will take some time to discover and appreciate this new system for yourselves and to think about how you are going to make this happen in your own lives. For Everyone on Earth, Everything is About to Change

Pluto is in Capricorn, Uranus is in Aries and moving ever closer to a rare series of seven squares that will ofically begin in 2012 and comtinue until 2015. Uranus fosters change and innovative breakthroughs. Pluto relates to political power. When these planets make significant angular contact with each other, political structures are shaken and disturbed in order to allow new methods of governance to emerge.

An Example: From 1960 until 1972 Uranus was within orb of its conjunction to Pluto (orb of influence strongest approximately 1962 and 1968). This period coincided precisely with a time of innovation and revolutionary impulses all around the world. In the United States we had the civil rights movement, the women's rights movement, founding of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, the Freedom Riders, numerous demonstrations and marches, the civil rights acts of 1965 and 1968 and the hippies.

Yet, the Occupy movement is extremely different from the “counterculture movement” of the 1960s-70s, and these young people are not hippies. Yes, the Uranus-Pluto conjunction in Virgo in the 1960s fostered social and political upheaval across the planet, but our world at that time did not have the technological capacity to make it a united global revolution, evolution, or transformation. Occupy does! Witness what happened all around the world yesterday.

The Internet Returns Power to the People

On October 15th, occupy protests will take place in 719 cities in 71 countries. Aside from the US, countries like Argentina, Russia, Canada, Turkey, Australia, India, and pretty much every country in Europe, to name a few. Just like the Occupy protests underway in the US, this movement will also be peaceful, where people can sit down and talk about ways to improve the current standard of living. Watch video

With the amazing invention called the internet, the Uranus-Pluto square in 2012 to 2015 presents a different story. The www with its free and open worldwide communication is an infinite bridge that connects people in ways inconceivable in the 1960s. It is unclear just where the Occupy Movement started...some say the May protests in Spain...but because of the social networks, #OWS has now spread worldwide confirming that the way is now open for the people of the world to truly have their say, listen to one another, work together, and to demand that their nations collaborate and cooperate for the attainment of mutual salvation and social harmony.

Yes, as Uranus and Pluto move into the waxing square aspect, what was conceived at the conjunction is being born and is in the midst of taking on a life of its own. This series of Uranus/Pluto squares has already begun bringing about the next evolution of the energies that were started in 1960-1972.
