The Conrad Murray voicemail may have been hard for some to listen to, but as reported by TMZ, Michael Jackson's attorney Tom Mesereau, after hearing part of the tape, has zero sympathy for the man found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for the death of Michael Jackson and who was sent to prison.
In the voicemail to a friend, from prison, Murray complains of severe shoulder pain. He says he's been asking for help for the last eight months but hasn't received it. He also says the Motrin he's been given for the pain is not helping and that an MRI is on order but has "not come to pass." In addition, he pleads for his friend to contact Sheriff Baca. "Ask him to please see me, maybe he don't know what happens in here," says Murray.
However, Mesereau has a different take on it. He calls Murray a "blamer" and "despicable." "This man is despicable. This man has never taken responsibility for what he did to Michael Jackson. He's always been a blamer. He blames Michael Jackson for everything," said Mesereau. "[Conrad] wants everyone to feel sorry for his situation. He caused the death of one of the greatest artists in world history . . . a kind, decent, wonderful, nice person. He caused his death and he's never taken responsibility for it."
Despite what Mesereau says, since Murray has a Constitutional right to adequate healthcare in prison, is he receiving it? Is the administering of Motrin considered adequate as he waits on an MRI? Should the prison be doing more?
