Surely, everyone remembers the television show, Different Strokes? It was a great show which starred Gary Coleman, Todd Bridges, Dana Plato and Conrad Bain. Conrad Bain was the father of Dana Plato, named Kimberly on the show and the adopted father of Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges.
Conrad Bain has died at the age of 89. He is survived by three sons, one daughter and a twin brother, Bonar Bain. His daughter says he was so much like his character, Phillip Drummond, on the television show accept he was even kinder and more interesting.
Bain passed away Monday night in Liverpool, California. However, the details of his death are unknown as of now. His daughter told TMZ that he did spend his last few days with his family. He also had a birthday coming up in February when he would have turned 90.
No one will ever forget the kind and gentle, yet funny man who played Phillip Drummond on Different Strokes. He will be missed by his family and the entire country who will remember his role on the show.
