Conquering all Obstacles: A True Story of Sacrifice

Often times, you hear of miraculous stories of sacrifice, outstanding leadership, overwhelming passions and stories about overcoming adversity in the world we live in. It seems as though all of these attributes are nestled within the entire human race. From the beginning of time, people have had many bridges to cross as well as their share of problems to deal with in their daily lives. Disease, tragic accidents, murder and crime are things that we hear about every single day now and are forced to comprehend and deal with. These are things that are not only happening here in America but all over the entire world. The economy is down, people are starving, there are not enough jobs and everyone is struggling to make ends meet. There are countless married couples that are struggling just to pay their bills, their mortgage and be able to put food on their tables. Single mothers are stressing over how this bill will get paid and how they will feed their child, not knowing where their next meal will come from or even if they will be having a meal. Agencies around the globe that were established to handle this type of crisis are limited to who they can and will help. These heartbreaking stories just keep going and going and are occuring at this very moment.

Aside from all of those facts, all is not lost. When I think about a hero who has sacrificed everything, overcome adversity, has proven leadership skills and possesses the passion to never, ever waver, I think about Jesus Christ. He gave up everything for me, you and everyone else and made the ultimate scarifice by giving his life, for ours. He not only sacrificied himself for us, he also looked adversity right in the eye and said "No". Even though many of the very people he walked among had hate for him, he loved them in return. He has lead many people just like you and me forever and has not faultered one single time. From the beginning, his only passion was to sacrifice himself for the entire world. Passion of this magnitude cannot be surpassed, nor can it be overlooked or denied.

No matter your religion, or nationality or what you call your God, he has never forsaken you, nor will he. He possesses many attributes that we each comprehend differently. Let's take a look at a few of them:

  • Wisdom: “Wisdom is the ability to devise perfect ends and to achieve these ends by the most perfect means.” In other words, God makes no mistakes. Romans 11:33- Paul explains: “Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and His ways!”
  • Infinitude: God knows no boundaries and he is without measure. Since God is infinite, everything else about him must also be infinite.
  • Omniscience: “God possesses perfect knowledge and therefore has no need to learn. God has never learned and cannot learn.” Omniscience means all-knowing. God knows everything, and His knowledge is infinite. It is impossible to hide anything from God.
  • Faithfulness: Everything that God has promised will come to pass. His faithfulness guarantees this fact. He does not lie. What He has said in the Bible about Himself is true. Jesus even said that He is the Truth. This is extremely important for the followers of Jesus because it is on His faithfulness that our hope of eternal life rests. He will honor His promise that our sins will be forgiven and that we will live forever with Him in Heaven.
  • Immutability: This simply means that God never changes. It is why the Bible says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
  • Gracious: God enjoys giving great gifts to those who love Him, even when they do not deserve it. Grace is the way we describe that inclination. Jesus Christ is the channel through which His grace moves. The Bible says, “The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
  • Mercy: “Mercy is the attribute of God which disposes Him to be actively compassionate.” Since God’s justice is satisfied in Jesus, He is free to show mercy to all those who have chosen to follow Him. It will never end since it is a part of God’s nature. Mercy is the way He desires to relate to mankind, and He does so unless the person chooses to despise or ignore God at which time His justice becomes the prominent attribute.

As you can see, Jesus Christ is a worldly hero that towers above everyone and everything. He always welcomes you no matter the circumstance. He will never turn you away, instead he will be by your side until the very end. Speaking of the very end, now is a perfect time to assure your place in Heaven. It's a very simple process in which Jesus Christ expects of you. Just as he sacrificied himself for us, he expects us to give our hearts to him in return. You can do it, you don't have to go to church every Sunday to know the Lord Jesus Christ. In the same token, you can't be going out everyday doing evil things and expect to be forgiven. Giving your heart to Jesus Christ is a life changing event. God gave man-kind "Free Will" to choose our own destiny in life. Are you ready? Repent and give your heart to Jesus Christ right now and assure you have a reservation in Heaven.

Get down on yor knees and say this prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe You died and rose from the grave to make me a new creation and to prepare me to dwell in your presence forever. Jesus, come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me. I am now placing my trust in You alone for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life."

Welcome to God's family.
