A Daily Word from the Word for Wednesday, January 29, 2014

“Then the Lord said to Joshua, ‘Stretch out the spear that is in your hand toward Ai, for I will give it into your hand.’ And Joshua raised up his banner against the city. So those in ambush arose quickly out of their place; they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand, and they entered the city and took it, and hurried to set the city on fire. And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and behold, the smoke of the city ascended to heaven. So they had no power to flee this way or that way, and the people who had fled to the wilderness turned back on the pursuers. Now when Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city and that the smoke of the city ascended, they turned back and struck down the men of Ai.” – Joshua 8:18-21

A few months ago during one of our prayer meetings, one of my sisters in Christ brought forth a powerful Word from the Lord about us adopting a Jericho mentality, which is one of seeing God as our Jehovah Nissi: The Lord our Banner.

Both Moses and Joshua knew the supreme importance of raising the Lord, as their banner and their army flag, in order to secure the victory. “And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner; for he said, ‘Because the Lord has sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation’” (Exodus 17:15-16, 11). 1 Samuel 17:47 testifies of this truth as it sounds off “The battle belongs to the Lord.”

I have been driving around in my car, with my latest monthly DVD from CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) unopened, for the past two weeks. Yesterday, the Lord spoke to me very clearly, telling me to get it out of my car and watch it. I had a momentary hesitancy, as I responded back within myself “Lord, it’s really cold outside, I don’t want to go to my car.” When the Lord didn’t respond, I said “okay, okay, Father, I am going!” Thankfully, the Lord doesn’t allow us to miss it when we commit our ways to Him unconditionally.

In this DVD entitled “Visions of the Night: How God speaks in Dreams,” (© 2014. The Christian Broadcasting Network) Gordon Robertson, of the 700 Club, discusses the Roman Emperor Constantine, and the dream that the Lord gave him concerning winning back Rome, which had collapsed and was now a divided country.

In Constantine’s dream, God showed him an image in the sky with the words written “Conquer with Christ.” This image is the picture associated with today’s article. God instructed Constantine to fly this banner as they went into battle, and they would be victorious. The Great Jehovah Nissi gave Constantine the winning battle plan. And win he did! Constantine defeated the rival emperor, Maxentius. At that time, less than 10% of Rome was considered Christian. Within a few short years under Constantine, more than 95% of the Roman citizens converted to Christianity! What a mighty God we serve! The battle does indeed belong to the Lord!

The timing of this is Divinely perfect, as I did not know the contents of this latest DVD; but just that I was to view it on this particular day (yesterday). I understood why afterward. Our guest columnist, Zalihta Pegeese, who I am partial to :-), wrote a two-part article on “God is calling a united army: are you ready?” which ran on Monday and Tuesday, and brought forth the Word on God preparing His army. God wanted to make sure we received revelation on ‘the Banner’ Himself, with this winning strategy, which began on Monday through Zalihta, and ended with me on today. God doesn’t want His children to miss a beat!

The Father gave me some instructions: to find the symbol that He showed Constantine, and to fly this symbol as our Banner, because it is only through Christ that we can truly conquer. The Lord told me to put up this banner in every room of our house (including my closet), my car, and my secular office. He also invites you to receive and carry out this same instruction.

For this reason, I have included a link for you to download and print as you are led. This particular image comes from the Vatican’s website. I added the text “Conquer with Christ” per the direction of the Lord. The words are in red, representing the Blood of The Lamb. It is by the Blood of Jesus and the Word of God, which is our testimony, in which we overcome (Revelation 12:11).

Click on the link below to download and print out as many copies of your banner as you need:

Are you feeling less like an over-comer lately, my brother? Tired of getting pushed around by the world, my sister? Then lift up the One who lifted Himself on the Cross for you. Raise the Banner of Your Savior, Jesus Christ—Your King of kings and Lord of lords! Lift up your head as you raise the banner of the One who raised you from death unto eternal life.

Father, thank You for showing Yourself strong to us as Jehovah Nissi (The Lord our Banner), and Jehovah Sabaoth (The Lord of hosts, the Lord over the battle). Help us, Holy Father, to put on the mind of Christ, and to walk in a Jericho mentality. By Your Holy Spirit, do that necessary shifting on our spirits to receive and prepare this mantle which you desire to drape upon us. In Jesus Name, we thank You that we walk in Your complete victory that You have secured for us; because the battle belongs to You. Amen and Amen!

Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to see God as your Jehovah Nissi and Jehovah Sabaoth. Learn to be still and know that God is Who He said He is (Psalm 46:10). This verse is confirmation for some of you, so receive it! And continue to fight the good fight of receiving your marching orders from the Lord; for God, your Divine Battle-ax, has already given you the victory!

If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do it today, right now, by saying this prayer out loud: “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I am sorry. I truly desire to be saved and reconciled back to God, my Father, through You. I receive Your sinless Blood as payment in full for my sins—past, present, and future. I now call You my Lord and Savior, and invite You to live within my heart, and to permanently live within me. I make You Lord over me and over my life from this moment on. Amen.” Congratulations! You are now a child of God, made whole and made new, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!

God tells us that we are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Be a blessing to someone by sending them this word of encouragement. If God did not already put someone in your spirit and on your heart that needs to read this uplifting message from above, simply ask your Heavenly Father who to bless on today. Forward this message right now by email, facebook, or twitter.

Jesus is coming soon!

May God Bless you and keep you always.

With warmest regards,

And, in service of The Most High King,

Matthew
