Assassin’s Creed 3’s “The Tyranny of King Washington” DLC is set to release on February 19th. In this alternative history, Ratonhnhaké:ton (or Connor), will have to use a slew of new “animal-like” abilities to end George Washington’s tyrannous reign.
These abilities appear to be based around the idea of spirit animals, and will be crucial in Connor’s journey. These include 'powers' of the Bear, Eagle, and Wolf, which will respectively increase Connor's strength, speed, and will allow him to go undetected. Using war paint also enhances Connor’s abilities, and he will be able to control a group of Assassins to fight alongside him.
Some of these abilities would feel an awfully lot like cheating in an Assassin’s Creed game, so one can imagine that certain restrictions would apply. Whether Connor will only be able to use certain abilities at specific times, or if there will be an ability meter that depletes upon using these animal powers, is currently unknown. The “Tyranny of King Washington” DLC pack will be available on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 19th, with a Wii U release sometime afterwards. Each of the three planned episodes will be $10 (or 800 Microsoft points).
