Somehow the Senate has managed never to investigate Chris Dodd’s role in the financial crisis, namely his shady dealings with Countrywide. Shocker.
But unlike his colleages, the voters in Dodd's home state of Connecticut – who will decide next year whether to send him back to Congress to exploit them some more -- have apparently had enough of the shenanigans.
The latest Quinnipiac poll taking stock of Dodd’s 2010 re-election prospects has some bad news for Droopy Dodd. It shows Dodd trailing his Republican opponent by double-digits. If the election were held today Dodd wouldn’t even muster a measly 40% of the vote according to this poll’s numbers.
Man, is it possible to move the election up to get rid of Droopy early? Can the FEC work on that pronto?
The rock star in the race, WWE executive Linda McMahon, also bests Dodd, though she does not fare nearly as well as Simmons:
Former Connecticut Congressman Rob Simmons has an early lead in the Republican primary race for the 2010 U.S. Senate contest and runs better than any other challenger against Sen. Christopher Dodd, topping the Democratic incumbent 49 – 38 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.
Former World Wrestling Entertainment executive Linda McMahon gets 43 percent to Sen. Dodd’s 41 percent, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds.
Even potential Republican contenders with almost no name recognition and almost no Republican primary voter support give Dodd a run for his money.
Dodd loses both women and men, he loses independents, and he also loses a sizable chunk of Democrats – all fed up, no doubt, with corrupt Wall Street enablers like Christopher Dodd, Barney Frank, and their ilk. Dang, it seems the only voters Dodd have not lost yet are Countrywide and Goldman Sachs executives with summer homes in Hartford.
It is time for the rest of the country to follow suit on what Connecticut seems poised to do and get rid of all incumbents more beholden to their Wall Street lobbyist bondage masters than to the will of the people.
Dodd has got to go – along with everyone else responsible for selling out working Americans to big banks, big pharma, big media, and big business.

We outside Conn. can only continue to pray that Conneticut voters will close the door on Dodd in 2010.
Hopefully, we can get Mass voters to throw out B. Frank and SF voters to throw out Pelosi.
Unfortunately Paladin, Pelosi is the MODERATE candidate in
San fransissyco.
dodd needs to go directly from the senate to the federal prison of his choice for a lonnnnnnnnnng time. maybe, if we're lucky barney frank will become his cellmate!
Did you hear about Bawney Fwank and his butt buddy in Maine?
Bawney was sitting on the porch and the sheriff showed up and arrested Bawneys butt buddy for manufacturing a controlled substance in the back yard.
Bawney said he did not know. He said "I am not a great outdoorsman." "I don't know what most plants are." He really said that.
I believe him. He is more of a backdoorsman.
Yes, Dodd needs to go.
GO PETER SCHIFF!
