Jaki Valensi-Lauper has been acting on stage and on screen for over fifteen years. After a successful stint acting on the west coast, Jaki moved to Connecticut where she is slowly becoming known as one of Connecticut's Scream Queens.
Growing up a middle child, acting was always a dream for Jaki. After starting her formal training when her family moved to Los Angeles when she was 17, Jaki's early career included roles on the after school specials - 'Just Tipsey, Honey', 'Pajama Party' and roles on 'General Hospital' and 'Days of Our Lives".
After moving to Connecticut, Jaki made her debut in the horror genre playing roles in such films as 'Family Secrets', 'Scary Tales', 'Goldilocks' and 'Mother'. Jaki enjoys the roles that horror movies give her the opportunity to play. In 'Goldilocks', Jaki found that playing the crazy mother was very therapeutic for her as it gave her the opportunity to let loose and act a little crazy.
Jaki believes that it is important to believe in yourself and to go for your dreams. But she also stresses that training is important and that you must study your craft.
Jaki is now host of 'Jaki's Buzz' which is an Informative Variety Show that focuses on the local entertainment industry in New England. The show can be scene at www.JakisBuzz.com. A televised version of Jaki's Buzz is currently in production and is being shopped around to different networks.
