Connecticut and Mass snow storm several roof collapse traps people, kills horses

The storm that hit New England today has dumped so much snow that there are some very dangerous situations coming from this weather. People trapped in roof collapses, horses trapped in a barn collapse, with many more buildings being demolished under the weight of the winter storm snow.

In Massachusetts a garage collapsed as two men were exiting the parking garage in their car. They were trapped in this debris for three hours. When the fire fighters finally got to the car, the men were still in an upright position with the roof of the car collapsed down to the head rest.

The men had a cell phone and were able to call for help. Fire fighters  said they could not believe the men got out with very little injuries.

The men said they prayed while they waited in what felt like a cold dark tomb for their rescuers. They had air, but very little room to move, as they were pinned in their car seats. Both men were taken to the hospital as a precaution and they appeared from the hospital on NECN this afternoon. They are happy to be alive and thankful that their rescuers got to them when they did.
