In Santa Clarita, CA on Wednesday, Senate candidate Carly Fiorina was endorsed by U.S. Rep Buck McKeon at a campaign even hosted by the Republican National Hispanic Assembly North Los Angeles and Patty and Larry Rasmussen.
Rep. McKeon, in his remarks, had this to say about Carly Fiorina:
“Carly’s business background, her real-world experience and her common-sense approach to politics is exactly what we need in Washington to put our nation on the path to economic recovery. I am proud to endorse Carly for U.S. Senate, and I look forward to working with her to build a brighter future for our great state.”
Rep. McKeon has served in the House of Representatives since 1993 advocating the easing of the national debt, providing tax relief, preserving Social Security, reforming education and supporting American troops. In the 2008 election, Rep. McKeon won re-election with a 58% landslide.
Carly Fiorina had this to say regarding the endorsement in a press release:
“I am proud to receive the endorsement of a dedicated California leader like Congressman McKeon. He has been a long-time advocate for our golden state, and his backing gives my campaign a big boost.”
In a statement Carly criticizes Barbara Boxer on her record and policies. “For the last 18 years, Barbara Boxer has prioritized the policy agenda of big labor and special interests ahead of the needs of our golden state. As a U.S. Senator, I will make the priorities of my fellow Californians – job creation and economic growth – my top priorities.”
Carly Fiorina is runnign to challenge Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) in November. She faces a tough primary battle with Rep. Tom Campbell and Assemblyman Chuck DeVore.
