It pleases me to no end to present to you Miss Tyler Rohoblt (pronounced 'ro-holt'), who just received her acceptance letter to the Baltimore School for the Arts dance program. Tyler will begin in the Fall of 2010 as a freshman.
Tyler was my very first private dance student and we met faithfully, on a weekly basis, in addition to the weekly classes that were held. She was attentive & determined & she put in a lot of effort. We worked from September thru early January, rehearsing, revising, & choreography an original piece for her audition. Ultimately, she & her mom selected Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata Op 27, No. 2".
The Baltimore School for the Arts is known for their stringent application process. What I like best about their process is that is also well organized, timely, & secret. No one, except the audition panel & those involved in the whole process who have a need to know, knows who is eventually accepted (or not). There are no leaks of information & potential students are notified as to when, where, what, etc, as they need to know. It is very professionally carried out & I compliment them on a job well done.
Along with two other schoolmates, Tyler was called back for a second audition & although this was nervewrecking, she followed through & well, the rest is history. Not only did she do well in her audition, but Tyler also has a healthy confidence & teachable attitude that will positively carry her throughout her high school career. With these qualities, she will be as prepared for life as she will be on stage.
Tyler Rohoblt currently attends City Neighbors Charter School in Northeast Baltimore. She lives with her very proud dad, mom, & little brother (who is cute as a button).
Congratulations, Tyler! I'm proud of you, too.
