This season's class of award winners was announced on September 1 as actors, directors, designers and managers from throughout Southeast and Mid-Michigan gathered at Detroit's Historic Gem Theatre for The Ninth Annual Wilde Awards. The affair honored the best productions, performances and technical designs of the 2009-10 professional theater season.

The difficult job of screening nominees and determining winners falls to the staff at EncoreMichigan.com -- and we hope (and truly believe) that their efforts are appreciated by everyone in the theatre community at large.

In the case of the Wilde Awards, the cliche holds true -- it IS an honor to be nominated. But ultimately, someone HAS to be named winner.  Here's the complete list -- congratulations to you all!
