Confirmed: Katniss's wedding gown revealed in 'Catching Fire' portrait

The costume designer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has confirmed that the gown Jennifer Lawrence is seen wearing as Katniss in the new Capitol Portrait image is, indeed, the character's wedding gown.

Trish Summerville talked to The Hollywood Reporter about the gown, which was designed by Tex Saverio.

"We did several Skype calls with sketches to work together in designing the wedding dress," Summerville told THR. "I had seen a dress he designed with a similar metal bodice, and I wanted to incorporate it into our wedding-dress design."

Summerville also confirmed fans' theory that the elaborate bodice of the dress is meant to represent the Mockingjay, as well as fire and flames.

Brides-to-be looking to recreate the look of Katniss's gown may not find an exact replica of the dress quite yet (though no doubt, one will be made) -- however, many existing bridal dress designs feature similar elements as the gown Lawrence is seen wearing.
