Condom control forces Los Angeles porn industry to hit the road to Las Vegas

In a major blow to Los Angeles’ economy, the porn industry is taking its show on the road to Las Vegas according to new sources such as USAtoday.com, AOL.com, Fox News and others. The exodus was apparently motivated by legislation voted in LA that mandated skin actors wear condoms.

USAtoday.com reported that porn producer Lee Roy Myers has already relocated from the San Fernando Valley to set up shop close to the Las Vegas Strip and quote him as saying, "Las Vegas is a fresh town, and it's where people need the business." Another USAToday quote read, "It's not really an option to change the way we make our movies, and moving production isn't that hard," said porn purveyor Jules Jordan, who hid out behind nearly naked models at the JulesJordanVideo.com booth.”

The voted-approved prophylactic law is being heavily challenged but the porn-sters aren’t waiting around. Allegedly the number of permits (for which LA charges hundreds of dollars)to make X-rated films has drop about 95 percent since it took effect while applications fell from around 480 two years ago to 24 in the first months of 2013.

In addition to a more relaxed condom attitude, Sin City charges less for permits and does not require health checks which are mandatory in Los Angeles. Las Vegas is no stranger to the industry with major adult video production houses such as Brazzers, Bait & Tackle, Corbin Fisher, VCX Ltd. and others.
