The hit happened while Rice was standing on a steep hill no the sixth hole. The ball missed the hole and headed for the spectators.
The woman was hit on the forehead. She was bleeding and sat on the ground to while her daughter applied towels to her head and paramedics rushed over to help her.
The woman could be seen crying from the pain. Rice told the woman she was very sorry and had her aid get the woman’s phone number.
The woman declined to give her name to reporters but she told the Associated Press that she was treated for the bump to her head and given medication. She said that she didn’t require stitches.

Rice told reporters, "Somebody asked me, 'How did it compare to diplomacy?' And I said, 'Well, I know how to do diplomacy, I'm not so sure about the golf course.'"
So far, no video has surfaced of the incident. AT&T organizers strongly control video of the golf tournament.
