Condo Sale by Adorean Boleancu Evidence of Mid-Market Improvement

With the record-breaking sale of a two-bedroom high-rise condominium in San Francisco's Mid-market district, it appears that the formerly blighted area is taking shape as a desirable new San Francisco neighborhood.

Listed for $1,785,000, the condo was owned by Adorean Boleancu, who once used it as the location for a popular “SOMA ShowRise” benefit that raised money for the homeless in 2010.

Located atop the full-service Soma Grand building, the residence is said to have featured an exquisite level of finishes and design, and provided views of the San Francisco Skyline, City Hall, Historic Landmarks and the Bay.

The sale price would not have been possible just a few years ago, but things have changed dramatically for homeowners in the area, due to the fact that a number of large, high-profile technology companies such as Twitter, One Kings Lane and Yammer, have begun doing business within 2 blocks.

The neighborhood is slowly but surely getting cleaner, safer and more populated with coffee shops and new restaurants. And with this sale, it appears that local condo values are also improving.
