The Concord Players are known for wonderful performances such as this year’s ‘Sound of Music’ and their annual, classic production of ‘Little Women,’ but their recently announced fall production has exceeded all expectations!
In June, The Concord Players announced auditions for their fall musical without revealing its name at first, leaving it a surprise. Recently adapted into a sweeping film starring the ever-popular Hugh Jackman and the Academy award-winning Anne Hathaway, the Concord Players proudly announce the musical, ‘Les Miserables’ will kick off their 94th season this fall!
‘Les Miserables’ is an epic work of art! It is both visually and musically stunning, telling a hopeful and heartbreaking story of faith, courage, and unconditional love.
The Tony award-winning musical, ‘Les Miserables’ became a world-wide sensation and stands as the second longest Broadway musical after ‘Cats.’
Adapted from playwright Victor Hugo’s epic novel of the same name, this incredible musical score includes ‘At the End of the Day,’ ‘I Dreamed a Dream,’ ‘Master of the House,’ ‘On My Own,’ and ‘Do You Hear the People Sing.’
Directed by Celia Couture with musical direction by Art Firstein, performances for ‘Les Miserables’ will take place at 51 Walden Street in Concord, Massachusetts on Fridays and Saturdays November 8, November 9, November 15, November 16, November 22, and November 23. Sunday matinees will be held on November 10 and 17.
