The weekly Concerts in the Park series continues in Huntsville. Also, Jim Parker's Songwriters Series returns to the VBC Playhouse. Those events are the highlights of the week ahead in Huntsville for June 22-28, 2014.

CONCERTS IN THE PARK feature local bands Bourbon & Shamrocks and Black Market Haggis. The FREE concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2014. The concert will be held at the patio of the Huntsville Museum of Art at Big Spring International Park here in Huntsville.

ALABAMA HAMMERS, Huntsville's Arena Football team, will face off against the Harrisburg Stampede on Friday, June 27, 2014. The game will be held at the Von Braun Center Arena beginning at 7 p.m.

JIM PARKER'S SONGWRITERS SERIES returns to the VBC Playhouse on Friday, June 27, 2014. The concert begins at
6:30 p.m. The concert features Marshall Chapman, Tommy Womack, and Lisa Oliver-Gray. The host is Jim Parker who will welcome special guest Williamson Branch.

DISCOVER THE DINOSAURS will be in the VBC South Hall Friday, June 27, through Sunday, June 29, 2014. This event allows people to learn more about dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures.
