Concerts and fireworks for 4th of July

4th of July weekend in Cincinnati brings many great options for concerts and fireworks, most of which are free!  Check out any of these neighborhood celebrations to brighten your holiday weekend:

Ault Park's Fourth of July Celebration is Sunday.  Starting with a Bike/ Scooter Parade, for kids under the age of 12, at  11:30 AM.  Food, drinks, and live music will be available after 6 PM.  Rozzi's Fireworks start at 10 PM.  Ault Park is located at 3600 Observatory Avenue.  Proceeds benefit the Red Cross.

Red, White, and Blue Ash claims to be Cincinnati's largest fireworks display on the 4th of July.  Enjoy the festivities for free, across from the Blue Ash Airport at Reed Hartman Highway and Glendale Milford Road.  Food and family activities are available, Sunday, from 2:00 - 10:35 PM, with concerts by Yes at 6 PM, and Peter Frampton at 8 PM.  A Rozzi Fireworks show, simulcast to music, is scheduled to start at 10 PM.

Colerain Township's 13th Annual Rumpke 4th of July Spectacular will begin at 6 PM on Sunday.  Outside of the Government Complex, located at 4200 Springdale Road, there will be food and beverages, free children's activities (balloon artists, air brush tattoos, sand art, and more), and free concerts and fireworks.  Robin Lacy and Dezydeco are scheduled for 6 PM, with Emerson Drive at 8:30.  "Best in the West" Fireworks start at 10 PM.  The 5/3 Bank 5K Run/ Walk is planned for Sunday morning at 8 AM.

Coney Island's 11th Annual LaRosa's Balloon Glow with the World Famous Flying Wallendas and a Rozzi's Fireworks display will be Saturday, July 3, from 2- 11 PM.  As part of the special pricing and hours for this event Classic Rides will be open until 11 PM.  Live musical entertainment includes Q102, the UC Bearcat Band Jazz Ensemble, and the Anderson Township Symphony Orchestra.

Red, White and Kaboom, the City of Fairfield's Independence Day Fireworks & Entertainment Celebration,  is Saturday, July 3rd.  Three locations offer everything from a night swim to the finals for Fairfield Idol, live music, concessions, and the Rozzi's Fireworks show at 10 PM.

Edgewood, Kentucky, will host an Independence Day celebration at Freedom Park on Saturday, July 3.  The 33rd Annual Independence Day 5K starts at 8 AM at President's Park.  There is also a parade and volleyball tournament that morning.  For the evening, concessions and the band, Red Idle, start at 7 PM.  Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:45 PM.

Fountain Square, in downtown Cincinnati, will be the location of a free 4th of July Bash.  On Sunday, there will be live R&B concerts at 6 and 9 PM.  Fireworks are scheduled for 9 PM.

King's Island July 4th Fireworks will be launched near the Eiffel Tower at 10 PM.  Sunday and Monday offer a special tribute to the Armed Forces by allowing all military personnel, past and present, to get in to the park with free admission.

Mason's Red, Rhythm & BOOM! will be Saturday, July 3, at the Corwin Nixon Park at 6249 Mason-Montgomery Road (45040).  Free admission to the park includes live music, activities in the Kid Zone, and the fireworks.  The concerts, on 2 stages, start at 2:30 PM and include a performance by The Rusty Griswolds at 6:15.  The Kid Zone includes carnival games and inflatables.  Food will be available from vendors.  Consider bringing items to donate to the troops through the organization Operation Thank You.

The Independence Day Celebration in the City of Wyoming will be Saturday, July 3.  The activities include a parade at 10 AM, inflatable slides and games, in Oak Park, opening at 5:30 PM, a concert featuring Blue Stone Ivory at 7:45 and Rozzi's Fireworks at 9:45 PM.
