A unique opportunity to hear the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra for free is fast approaching and it only happens once per summer. You don’t want to miss this event because it is one of the best concerts that you will hear to this season.
The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra is world renowned and its albums are among the best selling pops albums world wide. To have survived as long as they have would require that they be among the top pops orchestras in the world.
Judging from previous years, the concert is excellent. The selections will move you emotionally and bring magic to the night, making it a good event to share with a date.
The event opens at 5:30 pm and you will want to get their early in order to get a good seat and avoid the crowd. Magician Matthew Brian Taylor warms up the crowd before the show. He is a local talent and puts on a quality act that children and even adults will like.
Unlike other free concerts that are heard and then forgotten, you will remember Concert on the green for days later. Some songs may even stick in your head or make you want to seek out a Cincinnati Pops Orchestra CD.
Concert on the green starts at 7:30pm on Friday July 30, 2010. The venue is located on the lawn of Union Central near the corner of Waycross and Mill Roads in Forest Park. Both the event and parking are free and open to the public.
