Concerns are being raised over the custody of Michael Jackson’s children. The expected announcement came out today that of grandmother Katherine Jackson age 79, plans to gain custody. A Jackson family lawyer “Londell McMillan” spoke to to the Matt Lauer of the Today Show this morning and said that Katherine, who had already been caring for the children, wanted them to remain with her, and husband Joe.”
McMillan: “The fortunate reality is that they have a long-term relationship with their loving grandmother, Ms. Katherine Jackson, who I think the world knows and appreciates as just an amazing woman. A very, very loving and strong woman,"

Michael Jackson has spoken out many times publicly about the abuse (alleged) he suffered at the hands of his father Joe Jackson. Dateline NBC re- aired footage from the documentary filmed by Martin Brashir “ Living with Michael Jackson” 2003 in which he followed the daily life of theKing of Pop Michael Jackson at his Neverland Ranch. The documentary has brought the allegations of Joe Jackson’s (alleged) abuse back into the light, and raised concerns about his potential involvement in raising Michael Jackson’s children.
Brashir: When you would be practicing you were be very heavily disciplined by your father what was that like”
Michael Jackson: “He used me as the example” ... “It was like do it like Michael.”
“ He practiced us with a belt in his hand, and if you missed a step
expect to be ( whack- whack -whack- whipping sounds)
He would tear you up if you missed.
Not only were we practicing.. we were nervous rehearsing, because he sat in a chair and he had this belt in his hand, and if you didn’t do it the right way he would tear you up..really get you. I got it a lot of times but I think my brother Marlon got it the most because he had a hard time at first, and he tried so hard, and ah...and it was always “Do it like Michael”, “Do it like Michael” you know but the others were very nervous and I was nervous too. He was tough.
Martin Bashir : “How often would he beat you?”
Michael Jackson: “ Ummm Too much.”
Brashir: “Would he only use a belt?”
Michael Jackson: Raised his hands over his face and sobbed “ Why do you do this to me?” No more than a belt
Brashir: “What else did he use to hit you with?”
Michael Jackson: “Ironing cords..whatevers around.. throw me up against a wall hard as he could. Ummm see it’s one thing too...”

Nancy Grace poised a question on some people minds tonight on her program. If Joe Jackson has been this severe (allegedly) on his own children “blood relatives” how much more severe might he be on Michael's children, who may or many not be his biological children? These are questions that will surely be on the minds of authorities as they decide the fate of Jackson’s children. It is not known yet whether or not Debbie Rowe will seek custody of Michael Jr, and Paris. Reports are that Michael Jackson left a will but it has not been confirmed, nor does anyone know if it states who he wanted to take custody of the children.
Grace stated she felt Jackson surely would not want his children raised by his abusive father, and questioned Jackson family attorney Brian Oxmon about it.
Oxmon: “ I can tell you this Michael Jackson would want his mother to be the custodian of the children, and he would have no problem that Joe Jackson would be in their presence , but as to Joe being their custodian I think you are correct.”

In one altercation — later recalled by Marlon Jackson - Joseph held Michael upside down by one leg and "pummeled him over and over again with his hand, hitting him on his back and buttocks." Joseph would also trip up or push his male children into walls. One night while Michael was asleep, Joseph climbed into his room through the bedroom window. Wearing a fright mask, he entered the room screaming and shouting. Joseph said he wanted to teach his children not to leave the window open when they went to sleep. For years afterward, Michael suffered nightmares about being kidnapped from his bedroom.
Michael first spoke openly about his childhood abuse in a 1993 interview with Oprah Winfrey. He said that during his childhood he often cried from loneliness and would sometimes get sick or start to vomit upon seeing his father. In Michael's other high profile interview, Living with Michael Jackson (2003), the singer covered his face with his hand and began crying when talking about his childhood abuse. Jackson recalled that Joseph sat in a chair with a belt in his hand as he and his siblings rehearsed and that "if you didn't do it the right way, he would tear you up, really get you." In 2003, in an interview for BBC TV, Joseph admitted to using physical punishment on his children and also voiced his disapproval of homosexuality (Wikipedia)

I think their mother needs to come forth, I wish Michael would have left a will for his wishes for the children... I hope and pray that something comes of it.
Michael would not of wanted his children to go to Joe, thats the last place he would want his children to be. Does anyone else see this?!

The Grandmother should get custody of the kids..she has rearded nine of her own...well! There is nothing wrong with Joe Jackson either...there is nothing wrong with spanking..whipping..your own children..rather the parent raise them than society. It is a culture not abuse. There mother sold her kids and should never get custody of any one. They do not know her!
Joseph did hit his kids a little too hard, but would michael jackson have been michael jackson if it weren't for his dad? I think not. And at this point he's too old to hurt his grandchildren. Plus he was hitting his boys because he wanted them to be successful as a group, as musicians and dancers. I doubt he still has those dreams for the grandchildren. Especially now that he's in the public eye and any harm he does to the kids would be nationwide news. The grandparents will get the kids, don't judge him by his actions of 40 years ago.
Michael Jackson is NOT the biological father of his children. Debbie Rowe is NOT the biological mother of the two older kids. They used someone else's eggs in Rowe's womb and they paid her to produce children.
If Michael Jackson did not formally adopt his children, then they are not the next of kin of MJ and all his money goes to the parents of Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson can not even rest in peace. I believe that Joe Jackson is an idiot. He knows he has not been close to Micahel and maybe none of his other children for years. Katherine Jackson herself has been a victim of abuse living with that damn fool Joe Jackson. These children are going to suffer far worse than the grandaughter of the late Greek Tycoon Onasis. He mother committed suicide and her uncle was killed in a plane crash and then her granfather died. I pray to God that there is some hidden facts that will protect these children.
I hate that Michael is gone, I really feel that he was innocent, I hope that his kids are taken care of and you know if everyone keeps saying those are NOT his kids then have a DNA that would prove everything..
Just let him be, I just hope that his SOUL was right with God and I have not heard anyone discuss that, It is important when you die that you know GOD, because at that point, it is either heaven or hell...
It just breaks my heart that he is gone, I grew up in the era of the Jackson 5 and the Osmonds. I feel like he was the black Elvis Presley......
