A Chamblee woman was found shot to death over the weekend at an apartment complex in DeKalb County – and police believe she may have been dead at least two days before she was found.

On Monday, the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Ms. Amy Bohard.

Investigators said the 46-year-old woman was found around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at the Georgetown Condominiums at 3113 Colonial Way near I-85.

“Friends of the victim, concerned they hadn’t heard from her in a few day, went to the location and found the door unlocked and went inside and found the body,” DeKalb County police spokesman Capt. Steven Fore said.

She had been shot in torso and police said the shooting doesn’t appear to be random.

There were no signs of forced entry and no signs that a robbery had taken place, Capt. Fore said.

“We have no suspect and no motive at this time,” Capt. Fore said.
