First it was the mini-Cooper, then the SMART car that had everyone talking. Well move over minis, there's a new tiny-mobile in town! Well okay, maybe it's not in LA yet but maybe soon?
It's made by Honda, called the "Puyo" and car crashes in it might be....um, fun? This vehicle has a soft body! It's supposed to have efficient fuel technology but I'm still stuck on the soft body. I remember an episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond" where Ray proposed to Debra that cars should be made out of Nerf material. Look Ray! It really happened.
Honda's not alone in their Jetson-type car making ideas. Toyota's little baby is the "1/X". It kind of resembles a Prius mixed with a tiny space ship. They also have the "Hi-CT" which is a real looker! This definitely looks outer-spacey. It is supposed to be inspired by the "thinking and lifestyle of younger drivers." Wow, Toyota's been hard at work! They also have the "RiN" which looks like the coolest golf cart I've ever seen.
Don't forget about Nissan! They have the "Pivo 2" which is extremely cartoon-ish, but very interesting! Supposedly, this little ditty's wheels can turn 360 degrees. It appears that the driver sits in the middle of the vehicle. Nissan's "Round Box" is a convertible...think PT Cruiser-ish...even boxier and smaller! Nissan's "Intima" is the most normal-looking vehicle in the bunch except that it has suicide doors!
Mazda has a "Taiki" which is a speed demon's dream just from the looks of it! It looks extremeley aerodynamical.
Isn't technology amazing? I'm still amazed by the soft-bodied Puyo. But I also would not mind driving the robotic little Pivo 2. Take a look for yourself and tell my readers and I what you think? Would you own one? Which one's your favorite?
