Conan O'Brien has extended an invitation for Howard Stern to appear on The Tonight Show, while he's still in charge of it.
Conan O'Brien, who was recently told that he can either leave The Tonight Show or move the entire show to 12:05AM to accomodate Jay Leno, clearly knows that having Howard Stern in studio would shoot his ratings through the roof. Howard Stern, who always draws a huge audience to whatever program he appears on, would be doubly delicious for Conan O'Brien because Stern despises Jay Leno and frequently insults him and accuses of stealing material from the Howard Stern Show.
Of course, that would mean that someone would have to Howard Stern would have to get on a plane--which would be nearly as big a feat as getting him on The Tonight Show.
But Howard Stern hasn't ruled out the possibility yet. “I have no interest in going on talk shows anymore, but that one does interest me,” said Howard Stern during his Thursday morning broadcast. Howard Stern wondered, though, if NBC executives would even let the broadcast air.
"I believe if I agree to come on next week Conan will be thrown out and I will be asked not to come."
Howard Stern's statement must have NBC and Jay "The Chin" Leno shaking in their designer boots.

I agree with kate. Conan should just let Howard take over for that segment and interview him. Then let Sal & Richard come out and do a round of cock-aoke with the Masturbating Bear. I loved Conan during the earlier years of Late Night. However, I admit that I never watched him during the later years nor during the Tonight Show. However, I might start watching again if he moved Andy Richter back to the couch and got back to the off-beat skits that made me a fan all those years ago.
They should give Howard the Tonight Show. Talk about ratings. Also, I completely agree with doofus. Masturbating Bear rules!!!

Richard and Sal should start prank calling "The Chin Douche" It would be funnier than the Tradio calls. Howard interviewing Conan and Richard and Sal messing with Andy. TV GOLD!
