Conan O'Brien update: bringing others in on the act

Conan O'Brien has some serious time on his hands -- or he's at least wanting it to appear that way. The late-night comedian has taken to Twitter on just about a daily basis, more or less to give people just a brief taste of what they're missing out on.

Take Thursday's post, for example:

"This morning I applied for a job at Home Depot, but they couldn’t find an apron big enough to fit over my head. Tomorrow: Staples."

This post comes only one day after the comedian posted a photo of himself surrounded by a mob of people supposedly "working on his next Tweet."  The joke is in reference to how many writers typically make up late-night comedy shows.

As mentioned previously, Conan's new strategy of "a joke a day" is a smart one, as it gets people into the habit of checking out his account on a daily basis. The comedian has to come up with some clever ways to keep a high profile, especially since he cannot start up another talk show until this September.
