Conan O'Brien takes on "Twilight: New Moon" with hilarious results (with shirtless video)

"Twilight" star Kristin Stewart on "The Tonight Show", where Conan showed the video below

We're fans of Conan O'Brien here at the Comedy Examiner's Office, even if we have been left wanting by the comedian's "Tonight Show" work over the last few months.  But Conan's still got some magic in that old silk hat, as evidenced by the "Twilight" parody that he debuted on his show last night.  Read on for the details, my gentle Examiner readers...

"Twilight: New Moon" is almost upon us, which means that it's been a virtual maelstrom of parodies-- be they video, audio, both, or some unimaginable combination of the two-- here at the Comedy Examiner's Office lately.  Conan O'Brien got into the act by offering up his own "New Moon" scene on "The Tonight Show".  Check it out:

Ah, there's the Conan we know and love from "Late Night": senselessly borderline inappropriate shenanigans (and, with Conan being Irish, this is definitely an appropriate time to be using the word "shenanigans").  "The Tonight Show" airs every night at 10:35 on NBC here in Dallas, and "New Moon" is hitting theaters everywhere (even in your kitchen's under-the-sink cupboards) on Friday.  Stay tuned for more Conan and "New Moon" related shenanigans, folks.

While you're waiting on that, check out these other recent articles from the Comedy Examiner's Office:

"FORBES names Will Ferrell, Eddie Murphy two of "the most overpaid actors" in Hollywood"-- in which we look at the Forbes list (should that be all-capitals?) that named two down and out comics on their "most overpaid" list.  You mean "Meet Dave" and "Land of The Lost" weren't hits?  What?!

"South Park" takes on minorities, public urination, and waterparks in its 13th season finale (with video)"-- in which we review the "South Park" season finale and offer up video of one of the most gleefully offensive songs in the series' history.  Click the link, feel your jaw drop.

"Eddie Murphy's next film? "The Misadventures of Fluffy" (you read that right)"-- in which we learn what project Eddie Murphy's lined up and you'll be avoiding probably next summer.  Click the link for your warning.

"Michael Moore's comedic documentary "Capitalism" gets snubbed for Oscar love"-- in which we look at the news that Moore's latest doc, "Capitalism: A Love Story", is getting shut out at this year's Oscars.
