Conan O'Brien reviewed "Halo 4" for the Xbox 360 on Wednesday night as part of his Clueless Gamer segement. This gave us a chance to learn two things about the late night talk show host; He's got a thing for naked female artificial intelligence characters and he enjoys smacking his in-game self in the face.
One of Conan's assistants, Aaron Blair, tried to explain the backstory behind "Halo 4" to Conan which understandably left the host confused and disinterested at first. He seemed to perk up though when he the story was boiled down to "go there and shoot things."
Conan perked up even more with the introduction of Cortana and wondered just how far things can go when Master Chief slips her data chip into his helmet.
"She updated your firmware while you were sleeping," Blair explained to Conan.
"I bet she did," Conan deadpanned.
Readers may remember that both Conan and sidekick Andy Richter were brought into 343 Industries to provide voices for a pair of hapless characters guarding some crates. Conan was able to meet his in-game self and giggled incessantly after he planted an elbow in the face of his character. Richter's character was a little dodgier though forcing the host to shoot him.
In the end, "Halo 4" received an audible review score from Conan that cannot be reproduced here. We're sure it is pretty good though. We think.
