Conair Corporation Recalls Babyliss Pro Model Hair Dryers

It has been reported that Conair is recalling 291,000 Babyliss Pro hair dryers due to defective fans causing the plastic shell to shatter, and posing a danger of lacerations.

The East Windsor NJ company, founded in 1959, manufactures hair dryers, rollers, curling irons, straighteners, and other personal products and small appliances.

The Conair Corporations voluntary recall includes five BabylissPro models, which are all listed on their website. Check www.babylissus.com/product_recalls.php or cpac.gov for futher details. The dryers were imported from China, and sold at professional salons and through online retailers from January 2006 to April 2010.

Conair advises customers to stop using these products immediately and to contact them at 1-800-687-6916 for a replacement.
