The recalled products are 14-oz. microwave bowls with the establishment number P-770 inside the USDA Mark of Inspection and a Best By date of "JUN092015" stamped on the bottom. The products were produced Dec. 16, 2013 and shipped to retail stores nationwide.
Consumers reported to the Milton, Pa., based ConAgra Foods that some bowls contained chicken noodle rather than chicken rice soup. The company has recalled nearly 50,000 pounds of soup due to the misbranding along with undeclared allergens - wheat and egg - which don't appear on the labels.
Anyone concerned about an allergic reaction is urged to contact a health care provider. Consumers with questions about the recall can contact ConAgra Foods at 800-289-6014.
ConAgra last conducted a federal recall in October 2007, when the government believed some of the company's frozen pot pies may have been associated with reported illnesses caused by salmonella.
