Technology Lifecycle will be collecting computers and their peripherals along with household electronics at Southland Books in Maryville on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 10 am to 4 pm.
They accept computers (CPUs), laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, networking hardware, servers, server racks, copiers, DVD and VCR players, projectors, phone networking Eqpt (PBX & Fiber), phones (minus handsets), cell phones, cabling, TV sets, hard drives, floppy drives, memory, software, CDs, DVDs, data and magnetic tapes, typewriters, and all forms of adapters and game systems. All computer and electronic items are accepted for free.
They do not accept headphones, microphones, phone handsets, or earplugs. No TV/CRT monitors, alkaline batteries, or household chemical wastes will be accepted at this event.
Southland Books is the "the biggest and best used bookstore in Maryville", specializing in used, rare, and out-of-print books. Southland also has a huge inventory of old LPs, paintings by local artists, and free WiFi. The bookstore is also home to local artist, Catherine Frye's Southern Studios Stained Glass.
The Coffee Shop, in the bookstore, has delicious, fresh home-made soups, sandwiches, sweets & treats, and their "Library of Drinks" which include coffee, herbal teas, cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, and sodas. And because Southland Books is such a cool place, all attendees to this recycling event will receive a 15% discount off books or a FREE cookie with coffee purchase.
