What would you do for your children? How far would you go to support their endeavors? For computer giant Bill Gates, he is showing his love in the form of some pricey real estate. The retired CEO of Microsoft and wealthiest person in America has decided to head to Florida this winter in support of his eldest daughter. She will compete in the Winter Equestrian Festival. Beginning in January, the 3-month event will have the Gates stationed in Florida for quite some time. So where are the Gates to stay? Try a 4-acre estate with a rental price of $600,000/month.
No, we didn't add extra zeros…that is the correct price. Currently on the market for $12.99 million, the Gates’ temporary Wellington home features eight bedrooms, six bathrooms and all the space that Bill, his wife (Melinda Gates) and their family need. The home offers an interesting mix of rustic finishes with classic furnishings. Walls were kept neutral perhaps to accentuate the estate’s 7,352 square feet. None of the furniture or décor exudes a “do not touch” aura making the home down-to-earth and extremely livable.
