Computer glitch causing delays at Toronto's Pearson

A NAV Canada computer failure at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport has led to significant flight delays Thursday, stranding some passengers for up to two hours on a tarmac awaiting departure to Canada’s busiest airport.

“We appreciate everyone's patience during tonight's delays. Nav Canada is working to get the computers fixed and get all flights out safely,” the Greater Toronto Airports Authority [GTAA] said via Twitter.

Average flight delays of 1 hour and 20 minutes minutes are being reported.

The GTAA advised travelers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
