Even though Ubisoft has yet to make an announcement regarding the existence of Far Cry 4, one man has revealed his involvement with the title. Professional composer Cliff Martinez revealed to Lost in the Multiplex during an interview on Monday that he is currently working on the soundtrack to Far Cry 4.
Martinez, who has become a musical commodity as he is the composer responsible for the soundtrack to Drive, listed the upcoming game briefly when asked what he is currently working on.
While it’s no surprise that Ubisoft would continue the franchise after the strong sales of Far Cry 3, the developer has currently made no official announcement regarding a follow-up. That would make the mention of work on the title by composer Martinez to be the first outing that work on the game has begun.
Considering Martinez is a known professional, it is unlikely that he would mention working on a project that isn’t legitimate, so this likely is the first news that Far Cry 4 is actually in development. This also would be the first time the composer has worked within the video game industry as he previously worked on the Spore soundtrack according to a report on VG247.
