Completion of Hermon and Washington Academy girls game to be played Saturday

The Washington Academy Raiders girls basketball team held a 30-18 lead early in the third quarter over the Hermon Hawks on December 21st.

That is when play was stopped because of a power outage. The game will be resumed on Saturday, January 19th at Washington Academy.

They are scheduled to resume their contest at approximately 6 p.m.

They will follow the JV boys game between the Hawks and Raiders that is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

The game will be important in the MPA class B heal point standings.

The Hawks currently have a 4-4 record and are 10th in the standings. They do have two games before traveling to Washington Academy for the second time this season.

Hermon will play at John Bapst on Wednesday and will host Foxcroft on Friday.

The Raiders are 4-5 and are 12th in the standings. The top 13 will qualify for tournament play.

Washington Academy will travel to Ellsworth for a contest with the Eagles on Wednesday evening. They will host Narraguagus on Friday.

Hermon and Washington Academy will meet again on Monday, January 21st. The game is scheduled to be played at Hermon high school with a 2:30 start.

The Raiders and Hawks varsity boys basketball game will follow the completion of the girls game on Saturday evening with a scheduled 7 p.m. start.
