The latest attempt to slim down residents of Columbus is now officially under way.  The opening weigh in for Commit to be Fit's Community Weight Loss Challenge began at 1pm today.  Weigh ins will continue today until 7pm and will take place during those same hours on Saturday and Sunday as well.

More than 1000 residents of Columbus and Central Ohio have pre-registered for the competition in which teams of two to five people will battle to see who can lose the highest combined percentage of weight over a ten-week period.  If your team has not pre-registered, you can still sign-up for the Challenge when you show up to one of the YMCA of Central Ohio locations to weigh in.  Remember, all team members must weigh in together, and that you will be weighed in shorts, socks, and a T-shirt.
