Since October 12th, 2009, when 15 year-old Michael Brewer was viciously doused in rubbing alcohol and set on fire by other teens, South Florida has been diligently raising awareness and donations to his family for medical needs.
Today (Saturday) an Aventura firefighter, Joey Biglin and his family sold lemonade in hopes of raising $1000.00 for Michael Brewer.
Reported by WSVN-TV: "We recently found out that his family has become unemployed and they may loose their home and can't afford the medical expenses, my nephew looked at me and said we should help them, " Joey Biglin said.
The supplies were donated by Publix and Costco. The lemonade stand was built by Fire Station Eight in Aventura.
