On Friday, February 21st, Destiny managed to escape from her foster home despite the best efforts of her foster family. She has not been seen since and everyone involved is very concerned for this puppy, especially as cold weather prepares to move back into the area this week.

Bonnie Metz, who rescued Destiny and her mother Chocolate from her previous living arrangements, explained that Destiny has had a more difficult time emotionally recovering from the conditions she was living in. It is likely that Destiny did not receive enough socialization and as a result she has problems trusting people.

This is especially sad because Destiny had just begun to come out of her shell. Just last week she came out of her bedroom on her own, and she had begun to initiate play with the other dogs. She finally started to wag her tail, and jumped up on the couch with her foster mom.

Destiny is very people shy, and is likely to be frightened and run from someone she doesn't know. They ask that anyone who sees Destiny not try to catch her but to call her foster mom at 864-982-0416.

Destiny was last seen near the armory in the Pendleton-Clemson area. She was wearing a bright pink collar. Please see the slideshow for additional photos of Destiny.
