Community Association Leadership Lobby offers free courses for HOA board members

The law firm of Becker and Poliakoff, in partnership with the Community Association Leadership Lobby, recently announced a series of free courses designed to help condo, HOA, and co-op board members to understand what their function and responsibilities are in the state of Florida. These courses, which also provide CE credits for community association managers (CAMs), are held at the firm's office at Becker & Poliakoff, 1 East Broward,Boulevard, Suite 1800, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.

The first of these courses, entitled Everything You Wanted to Know about Being a Board MemberBut Were Afraid to Ask! (Provider #0000811; Course #9626099 - 3 HR CEUs), is going to be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 9:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M., Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., and Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 9:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. Due to high demand, classes are limited to first-time participants only.

Due to the new law requiring board members to be certified by the state within 90 days in order to serve, the organization also offers a free HOA Board Member Certification course of the same name. That course, Everything You Wanted to Know about Being a Board Member...But Were Afraid to Ask! (Provider No. 0000811; Course No. 9626873 - 2 ELE CEUs), takes place on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
