Communist Party official misses plane, destroys terminal (Video)

Towleroad reported today on a video featuring Yan Linkun, a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Committee (CPPCC). The official had checked into his flight, but then decided to grab breakfast in the airport. When Yan Linkun returned to his gate he discovered that he had missed the boarding of his flight. The gate agents refused to bring the plane back, which does not sit well with their tardy passenger.

In the video Yin Linkun enters a fit of rage and begins screaming in Chinese. He then starts to destroy the terminal desk, sending its contents flying around. The camera briefly pans away as Linkun knocks a stanchion to the ground. The shot cuts back to show him kicking the desk. Yin then takes a brief break before picking up a display stand and smashing it into a window.

A crowd is gathered around watching the chaos unfurl. They surprisingly appear relatively unfazed.

After about two minutes airport security arrived. Whoever recorded this footage stopped recording at that point, most likely out of concerns for their safety. The Global Times reported that Yan Linkun was suspended from his position at a mining company. He is also under investigation by the police.
