CommuniCon is coming back to Los Angeles in just a few weeks, but today the hardworking videographers and documentarians behind the first year have unveiled their final product, entitled "Intro to Communal Conventions." Featuring interviews with everyone from showrunner Dan Harmon to CommuniCon organizer Gillian Morshedi to actress Gillian Jacobs to staff writers Andy Bobrow and Megan Ganz, as well as some very special behind-the-scenes footage, the 20 minute piece is a celebration of not only this creative "nerd" show but also its fans. It will get you appropriately excited for the second annual CommuniCon, too, the schedule for which we have below.
Saturday, October 19 2013 will kick off the festivities in a very appropriate way (October 19th is October 19th again!) with the second annual Writers' Panel. This one will feature Andy Bobrow, Tim Saccardo, Hilary Winston, and more to be announced. Immediately following will be the Writers vs Fans trivia contest. We don't know what the prizes are this year but as host of the event again, we do know the questions are very detailed, so start studying up with your DVDs now!
The writers will stick around for a meet and greet and signing before the convention turns over to a Crew Panel with various members of the Casting, Art, Makeup, Construction, and Set Dec departments. The annual Costume Contest will occur mid-day, with the final events of the first day rounding out with the "No Small Parts" panel and meet and greet/signing. Returning for that are Charley Koontz, Danielle Kaplowitz, and Todd Neher, with more names to be announced.
Sunday, October 20 2013 starts with a very special screening, cast/crew panel, and meet and greet/signing for "The Untitled Web Series About A Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time." The creators of Journey to the Center of Hawkthorne will also be on-hand to present their video game. And then he's back, ladies and gentlemen, and this time he's brought a friend! Harmon will take a microphone-- and Chris McKenna-- up to the front of the room to address the fans and audience members for an uncensored, unmoderated discussion about returning to the show. That will also be followed by a meet and greet/signing.
Will we see you there?
