Ideal followers are not always independent, however a good leader is a thinker of independence, because the leaders’ job is to strategize, mold, lend, and help when needed, so in essence they are the key in which they hold the foundation of the organization together. Leaders need to be more competent, independent and cooperative than that of those who wish to follow them. Leaders should be able to not only strategize, but emphasis how the task will be completed, and lend the helping hand when needed. A leader is to lead and direct, and also lead with compassion.
Good leaders lead with the hopes the people they are leading will be in fact better leaders than themselves, and a good manger listens with an open heart and follows the leadership with trust, however the managers point of position is to render ideas in which may work better, in a sense take a type leadership role, because the managers are the people managing the business.
Leaders for the most part are entrepreneurs such as owners, and those qualified for top level positions such as Chief Executive Officers, so for those who are leaders it is impossible to know all things, because they are busy doing their corporate duties. This is when the manger must be the eyes and ears of the leader, so if something is beyond his or her control the manger must be honest, ethical, and forthright enough to step in and help, if not this is when the leader must step in.
Communication between leaders and managers are critical and weekly meetings between managers and leaders must be addressed, alongside monthly employee meetings, or more often depending on the structure of such organization and its specific needs. A leaders leads, a manager leads; combined together make a powerful structure worthy of competition within the business world; as they would be a hard company to bring down amongst the competition. Together the leader and manager working harmoniously will make it to the shores of prosperity.
